Madison County Transit to run Rams Express beginning with Aug. 29 preseason game

Madison County Transit again will offer direct bus service from the county to St. Louis Rams home games for the upcoming season.

MCT is scheduled to begin offering express rides with Aug. 29 when the Rams host the Indianapolis Colts in a preseason game.

Pick-up and drop-off locations for the Alton Rams Express include Alton Square (lower level), Atrium Hotel (formally Holiday Inn), Eastgate Plaza, the Wood River Station, and the River’s Edge Park & Ride lot in Granite City.

The Edwardsville Rams Express stops include the Edwardsville Station, Leclaire Junction, Cottonwood Mall, Maryville Park and Ride and Gateway Convention Center in Collinsville.

The Highland Rams Express stops include Highland Park and Ride, St. Jacob Park and Ride, and Troy Park and Ride (all located on U.S. 40).

Rides on the Rams Express are $3.50 each way for people 13 and older; and $1.75 each way for children between 5 and 12, senior citizens 65 and over, and people with disabilities. Children under 5 are ride for free.

Fares for the Rams Express are paid at the time of boarding. Buses will drop-off riders on Cole Street (between Seventh and Ninth streets), adjacent to the Edward Jones Dome 30 minutes before kick-off. The buses will depart from the same location 20 minutes after the end of the game.
