Crews in downtown St. Louis are scheduled to open the ramp from southbound Memorial Drive to westbound Interstate 44 and southbound Interstate 55 about 7 p.m. Friday according to the Missouri Department of Transportation.
The ramp closure was part of the Poplar Street Bridge work that included a lane reduction.
MoDOT said it has a little work remaining on the Poplar Street Bridge this year.
On Aug. 28, lanes are expected to be closed as crews remove and replace a temporary barrier wall on the new ramp. Details of the lane closure are being finalized.
Next year, MoDOT plans to carry out work on the eastbound portion of the PSB. Work is planned to include widening the ramp from northbound I-55 to the PSB and adding a lane from the 6th Street ramp in St. Louis across the bridge to Illinois 3, MoDOT said.
