People in Business: Hirings, promotions and honors in the metro-east

These appointments, hirings and honors have been announced for members of the metro-east business community:

Bradley W. Small, a shareholder at the law firm Mathis, Marifian & Richter Ltd., has been appointed to a council of the Illinois State Bar Association. Small will serve in the Banking, Bankruptcy and Commercial Collections Law Section of the state bar association. He has been a shareholder at Mathis, Marifian & Richter’s offices in Belleville and Nashville since 2004. His practice focuses on banking law, bankruptcy, real estate, commercial litigation, and estate planning.


Ameren Illinois President Richard Mark was recently presented the Corporate Leadership Award by the Illinois Black Chamber of Commerce during the Chamber’s 10th Annual Statewide Convention in Peoria. The award recognizes individuals who champion diversity within his or her company.


The Blake Behme Law Group in Belleville has hired Angela McQuage as an associate attorney. The Blytheville, Ark., native is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis.
