IDOT plans overnight pavement patching along I-270 near Granite City

Overnight lane restrictions are scheduled to be in place beginning Wednesday night along I-270 from St. Thomas Road to the Chain of Rocks Mississippi River Bridge, the Illinois Department of Transportation said.

Work on this project will be done at night between the hours of 6 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, IDOT said. The lane restrictions are necessary to perform pavement patching and resurfacing.

This work is expected to be completed by Nov. 15, weather permitting, IDOT said.
