A coming metro-east restaurateur is so confident about their pizza, that their slogan is “We’re pretty sure you haven’t tried your favorite pizza.”
Pizza will be just one one the features on the menu at FlamentCo’s The Place American Eatery, which is anticipated to open sometime next month. Located at 711 U.S. 50 in O’Fallon, the new eatery will also feature, pasta, wings and salads. An opening date will be announced soon.
Walmart shoppers have more time to purchase and put Christmas gifts on lay-away this year.
The world’s largest retailer has moved up its annual holiday lay away program by two weeks and will launch the program on Friday.
To qualify, each item purchased must cost $10 or more, a requirement that has been lowered from the $15 limit last year, and all items held must be worth a total of $50.
Customers will also have more time to pay off their purchases this year: 90 days instead of the 60-day period from last year. Read more here.
Dollar General stores have reported profit gains during the second quarter. The Goodlettsville, Tenn.-based company’s profit was up by 12.4 percent to $282.3 million, or 95 cents per share during the quarter. The company’s revenue also increased 7.9 percent to $5.1 billion. Find out more here.
Tiffany’s stock has slipped amid a decline in revenue recorded at the luxury jewelery store. The New York company earned $104.9 million, or 81 cents per share, during the quarter through July 31. Tiffany’s had earned $124.1 million, or 96 cents per share, the year before and its revenue fell to $990.5 million from $992.9 million in that span. Learn more here.
