St. Clair County jail to test warning siren
The St. Clair County Jail has scheduled its annual jail warning siren test for 10 a.m. Tuesday, the sheriff’s department said.
The siren will sound for three to five minutes. Annual testing is required by the state.
The purpose of the siren is to alert residents when a detainee escapes from the jail or when someone escapes while being brought to the jail.
