IDOT to hold open house on proposed Illinois 3, 203 improvements

The Illinois Department of Transportation has scheduled an informational open house about the proposed Illinois 3 Connector Project, which is meant to improve flow and connectivity between Illinois Route 203 and Illinois Route 3 in Madison, Fairmont City and East St. Louis.

The project also includes Collinsville Road to Illinois Route 3/North First Street.

“The purpose of the meeting is to present project alternatives that have been carried forward for further study with the goal of identifying a preferred alternative,” IDOT said.

Handouts and display boards will be available for public review, as will information regarding engineering, land acquisition and environmental issues.
