The metro-east is going to have to deal with some steamy weather through the Labor Day weekend.
The high is expected to reach 93 Wednesday in the metro-east, according to the National Weather Service. That’s about six degrees hotter than the average high 0f 87 for the beginning of September in the St. Louis metropolitan area.
Skies will be mostly sunny with a breeze from the south at 5-8 mph,
The low will drop to 70 Tuesday night when skies will be mostly clear.

The mercury will again reach 93 Thursday when skies will be mostly sunny. A few clouds will move into the area during the evening when the low will be 71.
On Friday, the high will be 92. Skies will be mostly sunny during the day and mostly clear in the evening when the low will be 70.
The extended focus calls for sunny skies and a high of 93 Saturday, mostly sunny skies and a high of 92 Sunday and a slight chance of thunderstorms for the Monday holiday with a high of 90.
