Some much-needed rain could be on the way to the metro-east over the next couple of days.

The chance of thunderstorms is expected to increase to 90 percent during the evening hours Tuesday. The low will be about 70.
Things will cool down starting Wednesday with a high of 80 expected. There is a 60 percent chance of thunderstorms during the day with the best chance of rain coming before 1 p.m.
There will be a 20 percent chance of thunderstorms Wednesday night with a low of 64.
Mostly sunny skies are expected Thursday with a high of 82. Thursday night, it will be partly cloudy with a low of 60.
