IDOT to conduct bridge inspections on I-270, U.S. 67
Lane restrictions are planned on Wednesday along the Interstate 270 bridge near Granite City and on the U.S. 67 Clark Bridge in Alton.
The Illinois Department of Transportation plans to close the westbound right lane of the I-270 bridge from 9 a.m. to noon, as well as the westbound right lane of the U.S. 67 Clark Bridge from 1 to 3 p.m.
The lane closures are planned to allow workers to conduct biennial Illinois/Missouri Border Bridge inspections. The inspections are scheduled to be completed on Wednesday, IDOT said.
All other lanes will remain open during the work, IDOT said. However, traffic delays are anticipated and motorists are encouraged to consider alternate routes.
