Stormy weather likely Friday evening
After several days of pleasant weather, things could get nasty Friday across the metro-east.
Skies will be partly sunny with a high near 90 during the day, according to the National Weather Service, with a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm during the day.
But an 80 percent chance of thunderstorms is in the forecast for Friday evening with the possibility that storms could become severe.
According to a hazardous weather outlook issued by the weather service, the formation of tornadoes, large hail and heavy downpours of rain are possible.
On Saturday, there is a 20 percent chance of showers before 10 a.m. After that, skies will become partly sunny and the temperature will be much cooler, topping out at 74.
Saturday night will be mostly clear with a low of 54.
Sunday looks like it will be a pleasant day with a high of 75 under sunny skies. The temperature will drop to 52 Sunday night.
