Video gaming coming to Hotshots in O’Fallon
Video gaming will soon be added to the numerous televised sporting events at Hotshots Sports Bar and Grill in O’Fallon.
Hotshots director of operations Christ Avolio said he does not when the video gambling machines will be added at the metro-east establishment but said the chain has decided to add video gaming to some of its sports bars.
Hotshots will be the latest venue in the metro-east to provide on-site video gambling since the State of Illinois legalized video gambling in public places outside casinos in 2009.
Meanwhile, one sub sandwich chain is returning to Millstadt while another has closed its last restaurant in St. Clair County.
Subway will reopen its Millstadt location this week after temporarily closing last spring. The marque outside the restaurant at 101 W. Washington St. advertises a reopening planned for Wednesday.
In downtown Belleville, Quizno’s closed its doors last Friday. Manager Mike Barron said he has decided to close his doors after almost 20 years. He opened at 200 E. Main St. in 1996, but he said recent sales have not been strong enough to remain open.
A Belleville cake and candy-making supply store will be moving. Toots’ Cake & Candy Supply will close Saturday at 1915 North Belt East and reopen Oct. 1 at 314 E. Main St. Toots’ has been serving cake and candy creating supplies since 1974. You can still reach them at 618-277-7373.
A mobile flooring business is opening Monday that make house calls for customers throughout the metro-east area. Mike Kurtz has established Floor Coverings International Metro East, a franchise of Floor Coverings International, and will bring floor samples to your home. Reality Salon & Spa has a new address and name. The salon and spa has been renamed A Julian Felix Beautique and has opened a new location at 1 Ginger Creek Meadows Drive in Glen Carbon. Reality Salon & Spa had served clients throughout the St. Louis region for almost 20 years. The business says the name change reflects the salon and spa’s new boutique and “sophisticated barbershop” for men. Their number is 618-656-1545.
And finally, the home office for the Realtor Association of Southwestern Illinois has moved. RASI has sold its home base at 3515 North Belt West in Belleville and has relocated to 1124 Hartman Lane in Shiloh. The new office opens 8:30 a.m. Monday.
