Pleasant temperatures and sun coming this week

Perfect fall days are in the forecast for the metro-east this week.

Plenty of sunshine and a high temperature of 78 are expected Monday, according to the National Weather Service. That’s right on target for the average high temperature for late September in the St. Louis metropolitan area, 79.

The overnight low will be 54 under clear skies.

It will again be sunny Tuesday when the high will creep up to 81. Overnight the low will be 56 and skies will be mostly clear.

The mercury will reach 82 Wednesday under sunny skies. Winds will blow at up to 7 mph from the east during the morning hours.

Wednesday night, the low will be 57 and skies will be mostly clear.
