IDOT plans lane closure along eastbound I-270 near Granite City

The Illinois Department of Transportation on Tuesday is planning a daytime lane closure near Granite City on eastbound Interstate 270 between the Mississippi River Bridge and the Illinois 3 interchange, weather permitting.

The lane closure is expected to last about five hours and is scheduled to be in place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. This lane closure is necessary to install a survey marker in the roadway, IDOT said.

Traffic will be guided through the work zone using flaggers, traffic control devices and traffic control signing, IDOT said.
