More sun, warmer than usual temperatures

More pleasant and unseasonably warm weather is in store for the metro-east for the next couple of days.

The high will be 85 Thursday under mostly sunny skies, according to the National Weather Service. That’s about seven degrees warmer than the average high temperature of 78 for Sept. 24 in the St. Louis metropolitan area.

Thursday night the low temperature will be 57 under mostly clear skies.

It will be sunny Friday with a high of 84. Friday night, skies will become partly cloudy with a low of 57.

It will be partly sunny Saturday with a high of 79. Saturday night it will be mostly cloudy with a low of 61.

On Sunday, there is a 20 percent chance of showers with otherwise partly sunny skies and a high of 80.

Sunday night it will be partly cloudy, potentially obscuring metro-east residents’ view of the super moon and lunar eclipse. The low will be 62.
