IDOT to patch pavement along I-64 near Nashville
The Illinois Department of Transportation plans to begin pavement patching work on Monday along Interstate 64 north of Nashville.
Work is planned on both eastbound and westbound lanes between mile marker 46.3 and the Washington-Jefferson county Line, weather permitting, to patch areas where the pavement is failing.
IDOT plans to reduce the interstate from two lanes to one overnight at times through Oct. 19, the agency said.
IDOT is asking motorists to look for “road work ahead” signs, to reduce speed, watch for slow moving or stopped traffic, and use additional caution when traveling near and throughout the work zone.
