Community Safety Day is Saturday at Belleville Kmart

Families interested in interacting with local police, fire and ambulance personnel are invited to Kmart’s Community Safety Day, set for Saturday at the store at 7230 Westfield Plaza Drive in Belleville.

The event starts at 11 a.m. and runs to 2 p.m. and will feature area police officers, firefighters and paramedics. County 911 dispatchers and K-9 officers also will attend. An ARCH medical helicopter landing is scheduled for noon.

Food will be served at the event. There also will be a fingerprinting stand and child ID kits will be available.
