The Illinois Department of Transportation plans to have opportunities for people to comment on a multi-year project plan.
Public meetings are planned in Breese and Collinsville, among other locations around the state.
Comments will be used to help develop a multi-year plan for the 2017 through 2022 fiscal years, IDOT said.
Participants at the Breese event will be able to review transit data and provide information for the development of a statewide public transportation plan, IDOT said.
The multi-year plan is a proposed highway improvement program for statewide transportation investment, based on current estimates of local, state and federal funding. The current 2016-2021 multi-year plan has approximately $8.385 billion in planned highway projects, IDOT said.
Meeting attendees can submit written comments on the development of the proposed plan and IDOT’s planning procedures. Staff from IDOT will be available to answer any questions.
Written comments also will be accepted at IDOT’s district offices. Email comments can be submitted to DOT.OPPMYPOutreach@illinois.gov through Monday, Nov. 16.
