▪ Authorities continued to work to unravel the case of a Swansea man who was found sitting on his front porch with a stab wound. The man is expected to survive, police said. Officers arrested another person who lives at the same address in the 200 block of Brackett Street.
▪ A Belleville man faces animal cruelty allegations for taping closed the muzzle of a year-old Labrador retriever. Travis S. Young, 46, was charged with a misdemeanor count of cruel treatment of an animal. Sparky, the black lab, is doing well.
