IDOT plans work along Illinois 3 in Monroe County

The Illinois Department of Transportation plans to do pavement repair work along Illinois 3 in Monroe County, the agency said.

Lane restrictions are scheduled on northbound and southbound Illinois 3 between Waterloo and Red Bud, beginning on Monday, weather permitting.

The lane reductions are needed to complete pavement repairs and resurfacing, IDOT said. Flaggers will be utilized to move traffic through the work zone. Work on the project is scheduled to be completed by spring of 2016.
