Business Briefing: Local gas prices falling again

Average retail gasoline prices in the St. Louis area are falling — again.

In the metro-east, per-gallon prices for regular unleaded are hovering around $2.29, according to online gas price tracker GasBuddy.com. Some local stations are selling gas as low as $2.15. Across the river, the average price is below $2, averaging $1.94 a gallon.

Overall St. Louis-area prices are 77 cents a gallon lower than they were a year ago.
