St. Clair County Health Department holding a ‘Go Green’ pledge drawing

The St. Clair County Health Department is holding a drawing for a mulching lawnmower for people who pledge to “Go Green.”

Pledge cards are available at city halls, libraries and the St. Clair County Health Department, or through the health department website at www.health.co.st-clair.il.us.

Cards should be filled out and mailed to St. Clair County Health Department, 19 Public Square, Suite 150, Belleville, IL 62220.

Pledge cards will be entered into a drawing for prizes at 10 a.m. Nov. 13 at the health department. Entrants don’t have to be present to win, the health department said.

Prizes include the mulching mower, donated by the Willard C. Scrivner Public Health Foundation Board, backyard compost bins, donated by St. Louis Composting, and biodegradable yard waste bags donated by Home Brite Ace Hardware of Belleville, Ace Hardware Belleville/O’Fallon and Don’s Hardware in Swansea, the health department said.
