Don’t Miss This: Driver blamed for death of Swansea woman had 40 previous tickets

▪  An allegedly intoxicated driver blamed for killing a local roller derby star and injuring her three children on the shoulder of Interstate 70 had at least 40 prior tickets, according to court records. Steven L. Willis, 38, of Maryville, got court supervision 29 times including as many as five times a year.

▪  A man charged with murder after a person he allegedly stabbed died later at the hospital hung himself over the weekend in jail. Damon Stidimire’s death is being investigated by the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Department.

▪  Freeburg District 70 is battling with its insurance company after insurers refused to cover a fifth lawsuit over alleged sexual abuse by a former superintendent.
