Unkle Munkey’s closes, Wang Gang Asian expands

Owners of an Edwardsville video game and pinball arcade have decided to close while expanding their neighboring restaurant into the recently vacated space.

Unkle Munkey’s Coin Club at 1027 Century Drive has closed its doors and the Wang Gang Asian restaurant at 1035 Century Drive will use the former Unkle Munkey’s space to seat another 50 in the dining room and create a VIP and party room.

Unkle Munkey’s opened more than a year ago. Wang Gang Asian opened in May 2013.

New restaurant coming to Belleville

Another restaurant is reoccupying the building at 6401 W. Main St. in Belleville. This time, The Round Table Cafe is planning to open its doors by the end of the month and will have breakfast, lunch and a dinner menu featuring, pasta, seafood, steaks and salads. Stay tuned.

A chain of in-home care centers and a group of medical alert systems have partnered to provide a new service in the metro-east. Home Helpers and Direct Link have teamed to provide in-home care for senior citizens, new mothers and those recuperating from surgery and injuries. Direct Link provides a line of 24/7 medical alert systems, and Home Helpers has a network of in-home care providers throughout the country.

New home for Epilepsy Foundation

The Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Southern Illinois has moved to a new location 3515 North Belt West in Belleville. A grand re-opening ceremony is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday.

Thank you, veterans

Veterans Day may be Wednesday, but on Monday O’Charley’s Restaurant & Bar in O’Fallon will offer discounted meals to all military veterans who have a military ID.
