A stiff breeze will blow clouds away Thursday

Thursday will start off with mostly cloudy skies across the metro-east.

But things should clear up as the day goes on, according to the National Weather Service.

It will be windy throughout the day with gusts of up to 36 mph. The high temperature will be about 59.

Thursday night, skies will be clear with a low of 36 and winds up to 14 mph.

Skies will be sunny with a high of 56 Friday. Winds will gust at up to 23 mph.

Friday night, the low will reach the freezing mark, 32, with winds calming after sundown.

The weekend forecast calls for sun and a high of 60 Saturday and a low of 38 Saturday night under clear skies.

On Sunday, it will be sunny with a high near 60 during the day. A 40 percent chance of showers is projected for Sunday night when the low will be 43.
