Sunny skies are expected through the weekend in the metro-east.
But rain could move into the area late Sunday and stick around for much of next week, according to the National Weather Service.
It will be sunny with a high of 57 Friday. Winds will blow from the northwest at up to 14 mph.
Friday night, the low will drop to 35 under clear skies.
On Saturday, the sun will return with a high of 64. Saturday night, skies will be clear with a low of 40.
The high will be 62 Sunday under sunny skies during the day. In the evening, clouds will start to move into the area. A 40 percent chance of showers is in the forecast late in the day, with the most likely time for rain coming just before midnight.
There is an 80 percent chance of showers Monday with a high of 55.
A significant chance of rain is in the forecast through Thursday.
