Don’t Miss This: What killed a St. Clair County home invasion suspect?

▪  Investigators are still trying to sort out the circumstances surrounding a Summerfield home invasion that left the suspect dead. According to the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Department, Kevin White was alive when law enforcement arrived. But he died a short time later after lying down. An autopsy Monday revealed no gunshot wounds or obvious trauma to his body.

▪  If you’re looking for work and you’re handy with a hammer, there may be a job waiting for you. Metro-east construction trade leaders say they’re in desperate need of workers for jobs that pay $30 an hour or more.

▪  Two SIUE students were hit by a truck Monday while walking on campus. Officials say weather was at least partially to blame.
