IDOT planning survey work along I-55/64

The Illinois Department of Transportation plans on Monday to have lane closures in East St. Louis along southbound Interstate 55/64, weather permitting.

The temporary lane closures are planned to be near the Martin Luther King Jr. Bridge, IDOT said.

According to IDOT, the closures are scheduled to go into effect at 9 a.m. Monday, and be in place for one day to allow for survey work to take place.

Motorists are asked to use caution in the work area, IDOT said.
