The average amount of rain for the area in the month of November is 3.76 inches. Nearly 6 inches of rain has fallen on the metro-east so far this month making it one of the 10 wettest Novembers in area history.
The record for November Rainfall in St. Louis is 11.3 inches which fell in 1946, according to the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration.
Sunny skies will return Tuesday when the high will be 52.
Tuesday night, skies will become partly cloudy with a low of 33.
It will be mostly sunny Wednesday with a high of 45.
Wednesday night, the low will drop below the freezing mark, dipping to 29 under partly cloudy skies.
