Business Briefing: O’Fallon photography studio makes Inc. 5000 list

A metro-east photography studio has made a list of the nation’s top 5,000 fastest-growing private companies.

Inc. magazine has named Salvatore Cincotta Photography in O’Fallon to its Inc. 5000. Business owner, founder and namesake Salvatore Cincotta is an award-winning international photographer who works out of his studio at 226 State St. His business ranked No. 1,598 on the Inc. 5000 list.

The nation’s food industry is aggressively trying to stave off mandatory labeling of genetically modified foods by the end of the year. The industry argues that the move should be voluntary and not law, as lawmakers in Washington are attempting to require. Read more here.

In Florida, the governor’s office has reached an agreement with the Seminole tribe that will allow more gambling expansion in South Florida.
