Toys for Tots to distribute presents this weekend

The local chapter of Toys for Tots has a pair of events planned for this weekend during which free toys will be passed out to metro-east children.

One will be from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturday at VFW Post 805 at 221 W. First St. in O’Fallon. The other will be from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Sunday at VFW Post 1117 at 415 N. Long St. in Caseyville.

Members of the U.S. Marines Detachment 74 organization that participate in the Toys for Tots program are meeting at 9 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, to distribute holiday food parcels to people in need. This event will be at the First United Methodist Church, 504 East Highway 50 in O’Fallon.
