Poplar Street Bridge traffic flowing again after crash is cleared

An accident has been cleared on the Poplar Street Bridge, returning rush hour traffic flow to normal Thursday morning.

There were major traffic backups early Thursday on the bridge due to a multi-car accident. Rescue crews worked to clear the wreckage, and the roadway was cleared before 7:30 a.m.

As of 6:15 a.m., two westbound lanes had been closed due to the crash and traffic was backed up beyond the merge of Interstate 64 and Interstate 55.
