Don’t Miss This: Brooklyn suspect had body in the trunk

▪ A suspect who fled from police in Brooklyn was discovered to be hiding a body of the trunk of his car when he was captured, according to authorities.
The body of Roderick Taylor, 25, of Cahokia, was found when the suspect, whose name has not yet been revealed, crashed into a utility pole near the Brooklyn Police Department while he allegedly tried to flee.
Taylor had been shot several times.
▪ An East St. Louis woman faces charged for allegedly scalding her three-year-old step son and then not seeking medical attention.
Brianna Sengleton, 26, was charged with aggravated battery of a child.
The boy suffered second- and third-degree burns on his body
▪ An 80-year-old Aviston man was killed Friday when his car was stuck by a train.
Stephen Hellmann died at 11:42 a.m. while crossing the Norfolk-Southern railroad crossing on Breese-Germantown Road.
Police are seeking surveillance video to help determine the cause of the crash.
