Highland man, 22, is killed in Montgomery County crash
A 22-year-old Highland man was one of two people who were killed in a single vehicle crash early Sunday in Montgomery County, according to the Illinois State Police.
William Brennan was the passenger in a 2003 Chevy Impala that was headed northbound on Illinois 127 just south of Taylor Springs shortly before 2 a.m. Sunday when the car veered across the southbound lanes, left the road and struck a tree.

Brennan was pronounced dead at the scene. Shayla Williams, 18, of Hillsboro, was driving the car.
She was transported to Hillsboro Area Hospital but also died, according to authorities.

The State Police traffic crash reconstruction team is investigating the crash, an official said.
