Cold weather moves in, maybe even snow

What’s worse than being wet? Being cold and wet.

Rain has finally moved out of the metro-east, but now the cold is arriving, according to the National Weather Service.

The forecast for Tuesday calls for cloudy skies, with a high near 37. A west wind will reach up to 16 mph. On Tuesday night, there’s a 20 percent chance of light snow after 3 a.m., with cloudy skies and a low around 28.

Wednesday’s forecast calls for a 30 percent chance of light snow before noon, with cloudy skies and a high near 38.

Thursday’s forecast calls for mostly sunny skies, with a high near 34 and northwest wind around 8 mph. On Thursday night the low temp will dip to around 21.

On Friday — New Year’s Day — the forecast calls for a high near 32. On Friday night the low will be around 20.
