▪  Family and friends are remembering two adults and a four-year-old child who tragically died in a Sunday afternoon in a house fire.

Kendra Williams, 27, and Chantez Reynolds, 32, were identified as the adults killed in the blaze. The child was identified as Jayden Harris. Authorities said Williams was pregnant at the time of her death.

Investigators are trying to determine the cause of the fire. Space heaters used to warm their home could have been an issue.

▪  Driving without her headlights on is believed to be a contributing factor in the death of a woman who died Friday in a crash in Dupo.

According to the Illinois State Police, the woman, whose identity has not yet been released, was merging from Illinois 3 onto Interstate 255 when she crashed into another car.

▪  A Fairview Heights couple, with the help of a surrogate, finally realized their dream of having a child with the help of family.

Bob and Melanie Biver were able to have their daughter, Blake Emilya, after Bob’s sister volunteered to carry the baby for them.
