Don’t Miss This: Former top NFL pick to lead Cahokia football program

▪ A former first-round draft pick of the National Football’s Los Angeles Raiders has taken over the Cahokia High School football program.

John Clay, a graduate of the University of Missouri who was drafted by the Raiders in 1986. He’ll replace Antwyne Golliday who resigned after the 2015 season.

▪ A locally-filmed independent film will have it’s premiere Saturday at the Lincoln Theatre in Belleville.

Proximity, a move which includes St. Louis Cardinals ace Adam Wainwright in its cast, is a love story set in Centralia.

▪ A vigil was held for three people who died Sunday in an East St. Louis house fire.
