Two from Belleville charged in Washington County burglary
A man and woman from Belleville are charged in connection with a residential burglary in Washington County.
The burglary occurred on Dec. 9 near Lively Grove. Washington County sheriff’s deputies arrested Steven J. Kuklinski, 36, of Belleville, with residential burglary and theft over $10,000. He is was being held at Washington County Jail with bail set at $100,000. Rachel E. Pisarski, 26, of Belleville, is charged with conspiracy and was being held at St. Clair County Jail.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Department reported the charges on Saturday morning, noting cooperating agencies of St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office, Clinton County Sheriff’s Office, New Baden Police Department, Trenton Police Department and the Smithton Police Department.
Kuklinski was previously incarcerated on burglary and weapons charges, according to St. Clair County records.
