Jonathan Nast, 26, was ordered to spend six months behind bars in the case. He was convicted of killing Lana Albert, 23, with the truck and fleeing the scene of the accident in Breese in 2014.
He could have received up to 15 years. But a plea bargain gave him a six-month sentence with the possibility it could be halved with good behavior.
