MetroLink offline this weekend in part of East St. Louis, downtown St. Louis

MetroLink on Saturday and Sunday plans not to operate between the Civic Center and 5th & Missouri MetroLink stations, and shuttles are planned to transport passengers between the closed stops.

Trains will not be able to travel through downtown St. Louis due to the demolition of the Spruce Street Bridge near Busch Stadium. Passengers traveling through the area should expect delays of 20 to 30 minutes, Bi-State Development said.

MetroLink personnel are scheduled to assist passengers at the:

▪  Civic Center Station,

▪  Stadium Station,

▪  8th & Pine Station,

▪  Convention Center Station,

▪  Laclede’s Landing Station,

▪  East Riverfront Station and

▪  5th & Missouri Station.

Blue Line MetroLink trains will only be in service between the Shrewsbury-Lansdowne I-44 and Civic Center Stations and will operate on a normal weekend schedule, Bi-State said.

Blue Line passengers in Illinois will need to board Red Line trains all weekend at stations in the metro-east.

MetroLink is scheduled to resume normal operations between the Civic Center and 5th & Missouri MetroLink Stations by the beginning of service on Monday, Bi-State said.
