Pair of crashes keep rescue crews busy in bitter cold
Rescue workers had to brave bitterly cold temperatures overnight to rescue victims of a pair of car accidents.
According to police and fire department reports, both crashes happened Sunday night just before midnight. First responders had to deal with 9 degree temperatures at the time of the crashes.
One involved a vehicle rollover on Interstate 55-70 in State Park. The other was a crash in the Millstadt area.
Few details about the causes of the crashes or the conditions of the victims were immediately available Monday morning.
