Two hurt in Belleville crash
The drivers of both vehicles involved in a crash that occurred in Belleville’s west end Thursday evening were taken to hospitals for their injuries, police said.
The collision occurred at West Main Street’s intersection with Frank Scott Parkway around 6:30 p.m.
It’s unclear what direction the vehicles were traveling, but the crash involved a black Toyota sedan that sustained heavy front-end damage and a red Ford Ranger pickup that sustained moderate damage to its front driver side.
A lighted sign atop the pickup indicated it was driven by a restaurant delivery driver.
The conditions of the injured drivers are unknown. It’s not yet clear what caused the crash or whether citations will be issued.
The crash caused some backups as the intersection became clogged with police and fire department vehicles.
