Dry weather expected through weekend

Cold than average temperatures and cloudy skies are expected Friday in the metro-east.

The high will reach only 29, according to the National Weather Service. That’s nine degrees colder than the average high temperature of 38 for Jan. 22 in the St. Louis metropolitan area.

It will seem even colder with winds up to 23 mph.

Clouds will break up overnight when the low will drop to 21.

On Saturday, skies will be partly sunny with a high of 33. It will be partly cloudy Saturday nigh with a low of 20.

The high will jump up to 41 on Sunday under mostly sunny skies. Sunday night, the low will be 30 with partly cloudy skies.
