Author and doctor Leonard Sax blames the state of the current generation of children on a “crisis of authority” in American families.

▪ A seventh-grader at All-Saints School in Breese was suspended for a fight and his parents are suing the school.

The boy was suspended three days for an Oct. 30 fight off school property. He was accused of fighting with girls.

But the suspended student’s parents say he was attacked first by the girls who kicked him and pulled his hair and that he was only trying to defend himself.

They say they’re suing the school to clear their son’s name and wipe his record clean.

Scott Hurst was fired after he pursued the suspect to an Interstate 64 ramp where he attempted to jump into the car of a stranger in a desperate attempt to escape.
