Cool weather Thursday but it will warm up a little by the weekend
Sunny skies will return to the metro-east Thursday.
But they’ll be accompanied by brisk temperatures, according to the National Weather Service.
The high will reach 40, two degrees cooler than the average high temperature for Feb. 4 in the St. Louis metropolitan area. But it will seem even cooler with winds of up to 10 mph.
Skies will be mostly clear overnight with a low of 25.
A gradual warming trend will start on Friday when the temperature will be 45 under mostly sunny skies.
Friday night, it will be mostly cloudy with a low of 30.
The weekend forecast calls for partly sunny skies and a high of 49 Saturday. It will be partly cloudy Saturday night with a low of 31.
On Sunday, the high will reach 53 under mostly sunny skies.
Sunday night, there is a slight chance of rain late in the evening with a low of 32.
