Warmer than usual weather expected through the weekend
Temperatures will climb through the weekend. But winter weather could make a return to the metro-east by Monday.
Skies will be mostly sunny with a high of 44 Friday, according to the National Weather Service.
Clouds will increase overnight with a low of 29 expected.
The temperature will reach 51 Saturday, about eight degrees warmer than the average high for Feb. 6 in the St. Louis metropolitan area of 43. Clouds will decrease throughout the day.
Saturday night, it will be partly cloudy with a low of 32.
The high will reach 55 Sunday under partly sunny skies. Winds will gust at up to 22 mph.
But things could take a turn for the worse Sunday night when the low will be 31. A slight chance of rain before midnight will turn into a chance of snow during the early Monday morning hours.
There is a 30 percent chance of snow Monday with a high of 36.
Tuesday will be partly sunny with a high of 30.
