Snow is back in metro-east’s forecast
Residents can expect light to moderate snowfall early next week in the metro-east, according to the National Weather Service.
On Sunday, there is a 20 percent chance of showers after 3 p.m. Then, isolated snow showers are likely after midnight. The high temperature Sunday is expected to reach 55, while the low will be around 29. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph on the partly sunny day.
Monday is expected to bring scattered snow showers to the metro-east. A small amount of accumulation is possible.
The chance of precipitation during the day Monday is 50 percent. In the evening, it will drop to a 20 percent chance.
The temperature is expected to drop more than 20 degrees from Sunday to Monday, with a high temperature near 31. Monday will be cloudy and blustery, with wind gusts as high as 34 mph. The low temperature is expected to be around 19.
No snowfall is in the forecast for Tuesday, but it is expected to be blustery again, with gusts as high as 30 mph. It will be partly sunny Tuesday, with a high near 29 and a low around 13.
