360-degree video shows Mardi Gras parade from the inside
So you missed the St. Louis Mardi Gras Grand Parade, or avoided the crowds Saturday, but still want a little boogie in your workday before it’s all over Tuesday? Check out the view from inside the parade with our 360-degree videos.
These 360-degree videos are shot with a special camera that shows the view above, below and around as Belleville folks make the beads fly from the Crehan’s Irish Pub float during the parade. To get the full experience, watch the video on your smartphone or tablet and move the device around to see every angle. From a desktop computer, grab a spot within the video frame with your mouse and drag it around to change the view.
This video follows the St. Louligans soccer fan club as they march in the Saturday parade.
The party doesn’t end until Tuesday. Instead of a second St. Louis parade Tuesday as has been traditional, organizers canceled it and are promoting Fat Bluesday, a Mardi Gras party before the 7 p.m. Blues vs. Winnipeg Jets hockey game at Scottrade Center.
