Missing Madison County autistic teen found safe

A missing autistic Wood River teenager has been found safe.

According to police, 17-year-old Samuel Hilterbrand was found Monday evening in the parking lot of the East Alton McDonald’s restaurant. He was asking customers there for a ride to the airport.

The teen was missing since about 2:15 p.m. when he was last seen at Walgreens.
