A 42-year-old Belleville man has been charged with breaking into a video-gambling business in Wood River and stealing cash.
Police on Sunday were still searching for John P. Desroches, who was charged on Friday with felony burglary.
Desroches allegedly broke into the Lucy’s Place video-gambling business on Feb. 7.
Wood River police responded to a burglary alarm at the business on Vaughn Road at 1:34 a.m. and found that the glass of the front door had been shattered. Cash had been taken from the business.

Police said surveillance images were used to identify Desroches as a suspect.
Bail for Desroches was set at $100,000.
Police asked that anyone with information on Desroches’ whereabouts call Wood River Police Department at 251-3114.
